Philip graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada), a Certified Public Accountant (United States), and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. He began his career at Deloitte in Halifax, Canada in 1994 and subsequently moved to The Bank of Bermuda Limited in 1998, where he gained considerable experience in the valuation and administration of various investment structures, with a focus on offshore investment funds. In 2002 Philip joined the Bermuda office, and later the London office, of Union Bancaire Privee, where he was responsible for performing operational due diligence reviews on fund managers and their service providers for five years. Philip joined the Harbour team in 2007. He is a member of several industry associations, and currently serves as a Chapter Executive of the CAIA Cayman Islands Chapter, and is a member of the Grant Committee of Hedge Funds Care in the Cayman Islands. Philippa primarily works with complex and contentious trust structures sitting on the board of private trust companies and underlying companies. Prior to joining Rawlinson & Hunter, Philippa worked as a tax adviser in two of the Big 4 accountancy firms. Philippa is a Chartered Accountant (CA Ireland), a Chartered Tax Consultant (CTA Ireland) and is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). Most recently, Philippa successfully passed with distinction the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes and is a member of the Contentious Trust Service Team at Rawlinson & Hunter. She is a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants and 100 Women in Finance and sits on the STEP Public Policy Committee.
