David Luu is a Director of HTC Fiduciary Services Ltd. and an officer of The Harbour Trust Co. Ltd. (together, doing business as “Harbour”), he is responsible for providing fiduciary, independent director and anti-money laundering services to Harbour’s fund clients. David graduated with Distinction with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. He is a Chartered Accountant (Canada), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and an Accredited Director (Chartered Secretaries of Canada).
He began his career in 2003 with the Office of the Auditor General of Alberta and moved to the Cayman Islands in 2006 where he was a Senior Team Manager in the fund administration group of Trident Trust Company (Cayman) Limited. During this period he gained considerable experience with fund clients, valuations, and governance of a variety of investment fund structures and strategies. He is an Executive Committee member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants training committee and a past President of the CFA Society Cayman Islands. David joined the Harbour team in 2016.
