About the Role

The successful applicant will be required to assist the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager in the maintenance of all related internal records, reporting requirements and policy development. The applicant will assist with the training of staff ensuring that they are kept up to date with changes to relevant risk management and regulatory guidance applicable at a local and international level.

Specific duties include:

• Assist in the review of client acceptance forms and files as prepared by the client service teams to ensure compliance with the firm’s anti-money laundering policies and procedures
• Conduct KYC/CDD checks and sanctions screening on clients at all stages of the client management cycle
• Maintaining certain internal reporting registers and logs
• Provide support to staff queries arising on the firm’s risk management and compliance framework
• Assist the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager in maintenance of the firm’s risk and compliance documentation (mainly policies and procedures)
• Assist the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager with the production of periodic risk and compliance reports/ dashboards for Senior Management and the Board
• Assisting the risk and compliance team in performing risk assurance monitoring and testing (such as conducting detailed testing on internal controls and processes)
• Assisting the firm’s Senior Risk & Compliance Manager in the fulfillment of their responsibilities as required.

This position within the firm requires good written and oral communication skills, the ability to meet frequent tight deadlines and a willingness to work overtime when required. Due to the nature of the position a high degree of integrity and a proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential. The successful applicant must be highly motivated, organized, have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively within a team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • The successful candidate must possess at least 1 – 3 years practical experience in the financial services industry, including relevant risk management and compliance experience; and

  • A university degree in a business related field of study or progress towards a professional designation (i.e. ACAMS).



  • US$45,000 to US$75,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful applicant. A full package of benefits is also offered including pension and health and life insurance.
